Azghar Afghan lost the captaincy
An investigation by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) into the first Test between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe has revealed that former Afghan captain Asghar Afghan was involved in some of the matches. The decision led to the Afghan team losing the first Test.
According to a joint decision of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), Asghar Afghan was fired as the captain of the Afghan national team, and was replaced by Hashmatullah Shahidi and Rahmat Shah Zurmati for the ODI and Test matches. Was selected as the vice-captain. Also, a new captain for the Twenty20 World Cup will be introduced soon and Rashid Khan will remain as the vice-captain in the said format.
